Executive Director for Northeast Texas

Trail Coalition Position Opening

The application deadline is February 28, 2017

About the Position

The Executive Director is a new position for the Northeast Texas Trail Coalition (NETT Coalition), a four

year old organization. This person will work with the Board of Directors, volunteers, and partners to

provide the leadership necessary to fulfill the mission of the NETT Coalition and move the organization

and the NETT forward in its promotion and full development. This involves leading a diverse group of

urban and rural volunteers and local political leaders dedicated to advancing the NETT, a 130 mile rail-

banked trail in Northeast Texas that flows through seven counties and 19 communities. It connects

the eastern edge of the Dallas Metroplex at Farmersville to New Boston, Tx. near Texarkana.

Location

The strong preference of the Northeast Texas Trail Coalition Board would be to have the Executive

Director located in Paris, Texas, the largest and most central city on the NETT. However, for the right

candidate, we would consider having the position located elsewhere.

How to Apply

Interested applicants must submit the following three items compiled into a single document:

1. Cover letter (see details requested in cover letter below)

2. Resume

3. A minimum of three professional references (include name, phone number, and email address)

A cover letter MUST accompany the application in order for you to be considered. In it, please

tell us more about yourself and your commitment to trails. Please address why you are interested in

this position, and how your strengths and skills can meet the three-year goals of the Executive

Director of the Northeast Texas Trail Coalition as established by the Board of Directors. Please read

the job description and three year goals as found on our website, www.netexastrail.org.

Email your cover letter, resume, and professional references to: ed@nettrail.org
